Recently, a survey conducted by Lovehoney, a sexual wellness brand, found that among its 2,000 adult participants, 71% consider sex as a form of exercise. The survey also revealed some intriguing results. 10% of participants reported tracking the number of calories burned during sex and 12% reported monitoring their heart rates during sexual activity. The survey showed that men tend to track these stats more often than women, with 16% of men monitoring these metrics compared to 8% of women. The location also seemed to play a role, with residents in cities such as Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and New York is more likely to consider sex as a workout compared to residents in cities like San Diego or Seattle.

In South Africa, we asked actress and musician, Simz Ngema, the talented actress, presenter and musician about her thoughts on which cities in South Africa might be interested in tracking their sexual activity. She stated that she tracks the frequency of her sexual activity for personal pleasure and believes that cities like Johannesburg and Cape Town may be interested in tracking such statistics.

He is an avid triathlete, a radio host and dedicated to the betterment of his fellow humans. a fitness enthusiast living in the UAE, for his thoughts. He believes that Cape Town, a city known for its active lifestyle with residents who enjoy running, cycling, hiking, and a healthy diet, would be more inclined to track their sexual activity.

It’s important to note that sex does come with numerous health benefits, including improved mood, immune system, and brain health, as well as calorie burning and heart health. However, depending on your level of sexual activity, you may still need to supplement with other forms of physical activity to meet your daily fitness goals.
